What it does
Point your camera at a physical Riftbound card and it's identified in about a third of a second, matched against the full released card set (689 cards across Origins, Origins: Proving Grounds, and Spiritforged). Matching uses ORB feature detection, the same local-image-matching technique behind most production card scanner apps, run entirely in your browser via WebAssembly.
Why it is mostly private
Recognition itself never leaves your device -- no camera frame or image is ever uploaded anywhere, it's all matched locally against a card index loaded once at the start. The only thing that leaves your browser is the small JSON record of a card you explicitly tap "Add to collection" on, and only if you've configured a webhook URL yourself. No webhook, no network traffic, ever.
Tips
Good even lighting and a steady hand help far more than resolution -- glare across the card's foil or plastic sleeve is the most common cause of a missed match. Fill the dashed guide with just the card, not the surrounding table. First load is the slowest part (downloading the card index); every scan after that is near-instant.
